We stumbled across this image on Tumblr and it got us thinking about all the times we’ve had to pick colours for the various objects in our lives: bags, shoes, room paint, car—you get the idea.
Trying to decide on a colour can be a big deal, not to mention, some of the names of the many shades and tints can make it confusing. Would Grape bridesmaid dresses be a good choice if you’re having a Fall wedding? Or would Plum be a better option?
We tried asking a male friend which one he would prefer and his response went along the lines of: “Those are both purple fruits, does it really matter?”

One purple might have a cooler undertone to it than the other, but when talking to your guy about colours, perhaps simplifying it to a simple purple would suffice instead of calling it “Grape” or “Plum”. Leave the particulars to your girlfriends.
